CICF Announces New Foundation Executive, Associate Directors
WASHINGTON, July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Cruise Industry Charitable Foundation (CICF) and the Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) announce the appointment of Tom Hohman as Executive Director and Shaina Hershkowitz as Associate Director of the Foundation.
Hohman was the founding CFO of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), a $150 million nonprofit organization that grew from 35 employees to over 550 employees over his five year tenure. Prior to this position, he served as Chief Financial Officer for a number of fast-paced technology companies. He received a Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Richmond and a Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Hershkowitz was previously the Education Coordinator at the School Nutrition Association and School Nutrition Foundation where she managed the foundation's scholarship program, social media communications, and educational webinar series. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Washington University in St. Louis.

The Cruise Industry Charitable Foundation (CICF), a 501(c)(3) public charity founded by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), supports programs that are designed to improve the quality of life in the communities served by the cruise industry, especially port cities.
CICF focuses on non-profit organizations that encourage civic and community development, job creation and training, improved access to community services and that provide youth and adult education, particularly for minority and disadvantaged students. In addition, the Foundation promotes programs designed to improve public health or medical research aimed at disease prevention. CICF also supports programs that promote environmental awareness and education, as well as the study of enhanced environmental technologies for the maritime sector.
