Chuck E. Cheese's Celebrates Revamped Menu, Says 'Thank You' To Moms With Tasting Event & Spa Day In Dallas
Updated Menu Includes More Options for the Whole Family and New Thin Crust Pizza That Beat Pizza Hut(1)
IRVING, Texas, July 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Chuck E. Cheese's may be the place where a kid can be a kid, but last week in Dallas, it was also the place that was pampering moms, too. At 10 locations throughout the Dallas / Ft. Worth area, the popular destination surprised moms with impromptu spa treatments, including massages and manicures as well as samples of new menu items fresh from the Chuck E. Cheese's kitchens.
The popular destination recently launched a new menu geared for parents' palates, including thin and crispy pizza and two new pizza recipes (BBQ Chicken and Cali Alfredo). Other new menu items include sandwich wraps, churros, new boneless buffalo wing flavors and breadsticks – all served with your favorite soda, or a glass of beer or wine. The spa day thank you for moms was in recognition of the suggestions moms provided the company to improve the food and add other amenities – as parodied in the new television commercial.
"We been talking directly to moms, and they've given us a lot of great ideas to improve the Chuck E. Cheese experience," said Tom Leverton, CEO of CEC Entertainment Inc. "Chuck E. Cheese's has been giving families a safe place for fun, great food, and lasting memories for almost 40 years. With these new additions, now it will be even better for parents and children alike."
While the company won't be offering spa treatments every day at all stores, its new thin crust pizza is delivering the taste that families crave. In fact, in a recent nationwide taste-test against Pizza Hut®, Chuck E. Cheese's thin crust pepperoni beat out Pizza Hut's. The new menu was created by award-winning executive chef Gregory Casale, who recently created an expanded test kitchen at the company's new Dallas headquarters to continue Chuck E. Cheese's commitment to delicious food and expanded offerings.
Similar tasting events are planned for stores in Chicago, Atlanta, Tampa and New York City in the coming weeks. In addition to the new menu rollout, the company has added Wi-Fi to all stores nationwide.
