CHS Ranked No. 1 Best Place for Women and Diverse Managers to Work By DiversityMBA Magazine
CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 14, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Carolinas HealthCare System earned the number one position in DiversityMBA Magazine's 2016 ranking of the "Best Places for Women & Diverse Managers to Work."
This is the third straight year CHS has received recognition as part of DiversityMBA's ranking program. In 2014, CHS was listed as number seven and in 2015, CHS placed second.
"This national honor again recognizes the intentional advances CHS is making and has made – first, to ensure teammates and leaders represent the diversity of our patients and the communities we serve; and second to create an environment where people have a sense of belonging, respect differences, enjoy meaningful work and feel their contributions are valued," said Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Debra Plousha Moore.
Companies were selected for the list based on scores for representation, board diversity, recruitment, workplace inclusion, retention, succession planning and accountability.
"With the changing dynamics of the global population, American companies are investing more and more resources in creating inclusive cultures that are diverse," said Pam McElvane, CEO, DiversityMBA. "We are excited to celebrate the intentional progress these companies are making to ensure that their employees and leaders represent the diversity of the consumers in the marketplace."
Carolinas HealthCare System was cited for its efforts in implementing System Resource Groups to support diverse talent across the system, as well as its intentional efforts to recruit and retain diverse leadership.
