Earlier in her career, she founded and served as president and CEO of Gateway Funding Diversified Mortgage Services, where she grew the company from seven employees to 800 employees with 57 branch offices licensed in 42 states. When Lowrie sold her interest in Gateway Funding, loan production stood at $3.5 billion, and revenues were over $100 million.
In addition to her groundbreaking achievement as the first woman to chair the MBA, Lowrie served as chairman of the MBA Political Action Committee (MORPAC) and is a past member of the Fannie Mae Advisory Board.
With more than three decades of experience in purchase originations, compliance, risk management, operations management, and capital markets, Lowrie is an award-winning businesswoman with an impressive list of accomplishments. A Pennsylvania native, Ms. Lowrie was honored in 2000 by Governor Tom Ridge as one of Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business.
