ChromaDex to Present at the World Tea Expo

IRVINE, Calif., June 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ChromaDex Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CDXC), a world leader in phytochemical reference standards and contract testing services, announced that Frank Jaksch, president and co-founder, will be presenting on emerging beverage ingredients at the World Tea Expo on Sunday, June 13 at 9:45 a.m. PT at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

The presentation, entitled "Executive and Technical Series: Fact or Fiction - The Science Behind Emerging Beverage Ingredients," will discuss the science and analytical testing behind a number of emerging beverage ingredients, including white tea, pu'erh, stevia, kombucha and yerba mate.

In February, the Company launched a new verification program for tea products that will provide suppliers with the assurance they need to meet product standards and a ChromaDex Verification Mark that will give consumers greater confidence in the quality of tea products.

This program encompasses nearly all aspects of tea product verification, including the identity of the raw tea material, the verification that no unwanted contaminants are present, and confirms the amount of catechin, theaflavin, xanthine alkaloids and polyphenols contained in the tea product. Successfully completing one or all of the verification plan components allows the supplier to display the ChromaDex Verification Mark on their products and be included in a verified products list on the ChromaDex Web site.
