WASHINGTON, Oct. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor Company today announced that Christopher T. Spear has joined the Washington, DC office as Vice President of Government Affairs. In this role, Spear will have responsibility for the direction of Hyundai's growing federal and state government affairs practices.

"Chris is a proven veteran of the Washington political landscape and brings a multitude of experiences including senior positions in the U.S. Congress, the private sector, a major trade association, and presidential appointments in the Executive Branch. Spear assumed his role October 1, 2015. He comes to Hyundai from the American Trucking Associations, where he served as Senior Vice President of Legislative Affairs. Previously, Spear was Vice President of Government Relations at Honeywell International, and he held Executive Branch positions including Assistant Secretary of Labor. Spear also served as Legislative Director to U.S. Senator Tim Hutchinson.
