Libertelli will draw from his extensive experience working with high-growth companies to address an evolving regulatory environment.
"The addition of Chris to our talented executive team is more testament to our mission to lead the industry in providing fans a safe, affordable, and superior ticket purchasing experience," said Eric Vassilatos, co-founder of Vivid Seats. "We are excited for Chris to take the lead working with policymakers in the U.S. and Canada. Chris is known for his work with growing companies and has more than 20 years of experience acting as a resource for policymakers as they develop policies to establish a level playing field for competitors attacking entrenched incumbents. There he was responsible for the development, execution, and management of the company's strategy working with policymakers in the United States and abroad. Before Netflix, Libertelli played a similar role for Skype through its high-growth phase up to and including its acquisition by Microsoft. Libertelli's public sector experience also includes working as Senior Legal Advisor to the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.
Libertelli said, "It's time to get off the couch and go see a show! The team at Vivid Seats has done terrific work putting innovation to work for fans who want to attend their favorite live events. I was astounded to see how many satisfied buyers and sellers have used Vivid Seats' technologically advanced marketplace to participate in the ticket market. It is precisely this focus on consumers that I intend to bring to public policy debates in the United States and Canada."
Libertelli and his team will be based out of Vivid Seats' office in Washington, D.C. and will report directly to Vassilatos.
