WASHINGTON, Sept. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara and former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman, co-chairs of The National Task Force on Rule of Law and Democracy, will announce a set of recommendations aimed at strengthening government ethics and safeguarding against improper interference in the work of law enforcement at a National Press Club Newsmaker on October 2nd.
The task force is comprised of a group of former public servants and policy experts housed at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU Law. The Task Force report, "Proposals for Reform," includes recommendations to require that presidents disclose tax returns and to modernize ethics rules and prevent corruption.
