NEW YORK, Oct. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Christina Goldschmidt, VP of Customer Experience and Design at Cake & Arrow, was named a Finalist in the categories of Female Executive of the Year and Women Helping Women in the 14th annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, and will ultimately be a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award winner in the program.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run – worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world's premier business awards.
Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners will be announced during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Friday, November 17. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the USA and several other countries are expected to attend. The event will be broadcast on Livestream.
More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 90 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year. Christina is a Finalist in the categories of Female Executive of the Year and Women Helping Women.
Christina Goldschmidt joined Cake & Arrow in 2013, and was recently promoted to VP of Customer Experience and Design. She is an accomplished designer, business person, and an inspirational leader, educator, and a mentor to women, designers, and aspiring business leaders in and outside of the Cake & Arrow community.
"Christina could not be more deserving of this nomination," said Josh Levine, co-founder and Chief Design Officer at Cake & Arrow. "She is a talented designer with an impressive business acumen, but she is also a great person. Her deep empathy for human beings is evident in everything she does, whether it's negotiating a contract, conducting user research or advocating for one of her team members."
Finalists were chosen by more than 170 professionals worldwide serving on five specialized judging committees. Jurors' average scores will also determine the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements from among the finalists, which will be revealed at the November 17 event in New York.
"Every year we say that the current crop of Stevies for Women nominations couldn't be better, and the next year we're proven wrong," said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of the Stevie Awards. "The judges' scores and comments bear witness to the fact that this year we will honor a truly remarkable class of women and women-led organizations in New York on November 17."
"We are immensely proud of Christina, and privileged to have her as a part of our leadership team at Cake & Arrow," said Alex Schmelkin, Cake & Arrow CEO. "Christina is an invaluable member of our community, and of the business community at large. Her accomplishments and achievements–including this award–are many, and well deserved. As a designer, business person, and human being, she is an inspiration to us all, and particularly to women working in the fields of business and technology."
