Signs is a Christian Science practitioner, teacher, and lecturer, devoted to helping people conquer all forms of limitation through prayer.
"Coming from a non-Christian country," says Signs, "my passion is to communicate the universality of Christian Science. If you are a deep thinker and a compassionate person, you are bound to seek ways to relieve those who suffer from limited views of themselves, from pain, or oppression. The study of Christian Science has taught me many ways to help people of diverse backgrounds. And I hope to be a reminder to others of this very important nature of Christian Science while I am in this office."
Signs turned to Christian Science as an adult, when she was healed of an illness that had defied numerous other treatments. This healing came about as she studied the Bible and Science and Health, the signature writing of Mary Baker Eddy, the church's founder.
She has worked with doctors and nurses to help them better understand patients seeking non-traditional care. She has also volunteered with a community coalition of different faith groups.
Today, Signs splits her time between homes in Japan and the United States. In addition to her work as a practitioner, she teaches an annual 2-week course on Christian Science. She also travels the world giving lectures on how anyone can experience healing.
