Chris Smith From the U.S. Department of Energy Sheds New Light on North American LNG Export Plans

For many recent months, some have viewed the government's position on LNG export terminals as unclear.  North American producers and terminal operators have already achieved some major successes, brokering deals with several foreign buyers for LNG via some of the terminals already in progress.

Before the potential of North American LNG export can be realised, a number of challenges must be dealt with -- what are the factors that affect the decision making process of LNG export in the US and what is the status of pending applications?
