VALLEY STREAM, N.Y., June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Life in Brooklyn is about to get oh so sweet! Chocolate Works, the burgeoning franchise concept that transforms the corner candy shop into an interactive chocolate factory experience, is about to open it's first Brooklyn location in Brooklyn Heights on Thursday, June 12th. The store, which will be the franchise's 10th store to open, is located at 110 Montague Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
This will be the second location for franchisee Shlomi Avdoo. He currently owns the Upper West Side store at 641 Amsterdam Avenue, which was the first Chocolate Works location in Manhattan, and is already looking for a space in Park Slope, Brooklyn to open his third store.
"I absolutely love the concept," explains Avdoo. "My first store was such an overwhelming success, I knew I had to open more."
"It took two years to find the perfect space to host the [Chocolate Works] flagship Brooklyn store, but this location on Montague Street was well worth the wait," added Avdoo. "Who doesn't love chocolate and sweets? Between the residents, tourists, neighborhood schools, churches, and synagogues, the support and enthusiasm we've already received has been tremendous. We are excited to be such a creative part of this bustling community." The Brooklyn Heights store will be open 7 days a week and plans to offer chocolate-making workshops daily.
The Chocolate Works franchise concept is the brainchild of second-generation chocolatier and owner, Joe Whaley, a West Point graduate and Iraq war veteran, whose family has been crafting and selling high quality gourmet chocolates for over 40 years. What sets Chocolate Works apart is its unique 3-tier model for satisfying the public's sweet tooth. The combination of chocolate and candy retail, on-site parties and workshops, and custom corporate products, offers multiple opportunities to generate revenue and community relationships.
