VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The founders of apparel brand lululemon Athletica, Chip Wilson and Shannon Wilson decided to make a splash at this year's SXSW Interactive conference and officially launched whil – a content portal, online community, and lifestyle brand for professionals seeking new ways to embrace the chaos of everyday life and set achievable goals for themselves.
Featuring a crisp and intuitive format, whil.com features content that includes not only traditional articles, but also audio, video, and interactive elements. The online platform features a proprietary 60-second meditation technique, a wide array of curated content ranging from fitness to fashion, Wall Street to Main Street, and personal insights from Chip Wilson, chairman of the board of lululemon Athletica and Shannon Wilson, former lead designer of the iconic yoga-apparel brand.
Co-founder Chip Wilson describes whil as, "a new way of looking at meditation – Where? Wherever. When? Whenever." Wilson believes that "focus and short term goal setting are two essential ingredients for finding personal success."
"The launch of the whil website will introduce more people to this goal-setting practice. As the community grows and shapes the discussion, whil aims to grow alongside it," adds whil co-founder Shannon Wilson.

About Shannon Wilson
As a competitive collegiate swimmer, Shannon Wilson spent many of her formative years in spandex. This seemingly insignificant detail would prove to be an invaluable asset early on in her professional career. Shannon received her BFA in Fashion Design and after starting her own line designing clothing for fitness and aerobic competitors, she landed a coveted spot at lululemon. As lead designer, Shannon established many of lululemon's most iconic designs, which are still in production today.
