China's New Development Concepts Break New Ground for the People of China and the World

GUANGZHOU, China, Oct. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The 11th summit of the G20 major economies reached extensive consensus on pursuing innovative, invigorated, interconnected and inclusive world economic growth. Coordination reflects the country has a balanced economic growth in many industries and fields. Green development means the country thinks highly of ecological civilization and low-carbon economy. Openness shows China is glad to have win-win cooperation with other countries in many international stages such as the G20 summit, and BRICS summit, etc. Sharing emphasizes social equity so that citizens can enjoy a common prosperity.

New development concepts play an important role in the construction of China's image. A good case in point is the new look that China exhibits to the world in G20. Shen said in his essay that the new development concepts are put forward by Chinese Communist Party based on its throughout understanding of both domestic and international development trends and its sense of commitment to serve the people in China. In other words, it shows CPC believes that its governance should be planted in domestic situation and keep abreast with the times.

As is known to all, ecological problems are an increasing concern all over the world. In the face of environmental problems, CPC has adopted measures and put forward a new concept of "Green GDP". For example, citizens in big cities are encouraged to use renewable energy vehicles or public bicycles. It fully represents the party's insight into domestic and international situation and moreover, its attempt to devise solutions to social problems by absorbing China's fine tradition and useful experiences accumulated in the past development.

Besides, the new concept also believes that people's interests should be given priority in development modes design, the Chinese Communist Party has strived to fulfill people's pursuit of a better life, said Shen. For instance, health care reform has advanced steadily with a continued increase of coverage of medical insurance. Community hospitals are also promoted for people's convenience.

Last but not least, the new concepts also represent the party's changes of governing modes, application of scientific ideas and awareness of law. A typical example is the government's quick response to the Shenzhen landslide incident. Under the guidance of the government, departments concerned spared no efforts to provide a round-the-clock report. For instance, staff members of Shenzhen Internet Information Office worked in turns to keep broadcasting the latest situation 24 hours a day as to make sure the truth widely spread. Besides, the officials paid much attention to gathering public opinions from the Internet, carrying out investigation into people's doubts and clearing up them.

The new development concepts are China's scheme as a newly-emerging nation for the common development of human beings.

China played an "essential role" at the G20 summit, calling on the world's major economies to promote innovation and cooperation, Gustavo Girado, head of the Buenos Aires-based consulting firm Asia & Argentina, told Xinhua in an interview published on Sept. 9.

Shen said, the two-day G20 Hangzhou summit that concluded on Sept. 5 was hailed by world leaders and attendees. It saw a series of agreements reached that would facilitate sustainable and inclusive economic growth. This shows China's competency and group cohesiveness, which are embodied in the five concepts of development.

With the success of G20 Hanghzou summit, China takes its development concepts to the next level. The theory, with global views, adapts to the trend of development of international community. Being advanced and of value, it raises extensive attention in the international community.

China's Belt and Road Initiative would in particular offer great opportunities for Europe and is a good example of the strategic thinking and action of the Chinese people, said Michael Schaefer, former German ambassador to China, in an interview with German media Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten published on Oct. 8, Xinhua reports. "That means, any state, if it wishes to, can actively participate in the development of the initiative and its implementation," Shen said.

It shows China's responsibilities as an emerging nation for both China and other countries, providing all with opportunities and space for mutual development, aiming at win-win cooperation.

Since the 2008 financial crisis, various countries in the world have been exploring solution to lead the international economy out of trouble. China, with no exception, also comes up with its own scheme and wisdom, which are the five concepts of development.

The G20 summit opened amid multiple risks and challenges, aiming to find a therapy that can bring the world economy back to a healthy growth trajectory. The therapy would be an integrative approach to address both the symptoms and root causes, and propel the world economy onto a path of robust, sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth.
