China 'You Be The Chemist Challenge' Winners Announced
More than 1,300 students competed in teams across the country
ARLINGTON, Va., May 20, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chemical Educational Foundation® (CEF) today announced the winning teams of the China You Be The Chemist Challenge®.
The Challenge is a team-based competition where students explore science concepts related to real-world issues. This is the first year the Challenge program was offered in China.
The winning team at the 7th-8th grade level was a combined team from Shanghai Starriver Bilingual School and Kang Chiao International School East China Campus. The winning team at the 5th-6th grade level was Lanzhou Country Garden School.
Dow and Univar Solutions sponsored the 2019-2020 China You Be The Chemist Challenge®.

Teams from 49 schools across China participated in the Challenge this year. Approximately 275 students qualified for and participated in the culminating regional event this weekend, with teams competing virtually to answer questions related to science and chemistry concepts.
