China Shengda Packaging Elects Board Members at its Annual Shareholders' Meeting

HANGZHOU, China, July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- China Shengda Packaging Group Inc. (NASDAQ: CPGI) ("China Shengda Packaging" or the "Company"), a leading Chinese paper packaging manufacturer, today announced that it held its 2012 Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the "Annual Meeting") on July 13, 2012. 

At the Annual Meeting, the Company's stockholders were asked to vote on a proposal to re-elect five directors to serve as members of the Board of Directors until the 2013 Annual Meeting of Stockholders or until their successors are duly elected. The stockholders elected Mr. Nengbin Fang, Ms. Congyi Fang, Mr. Zhihai Mao, Mr. Michael Zhang and Mr. Yaoquan Zhang as members of the Board of Directors of the Company by a plurality of the votes cast.

Also ratified was the proposal for the appointment of Marcum Bernstein & Pinchuk LLP as the Company's independent registered accounting firm for the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2012.
