Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota Announces Bjorn Gunnerud as New Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Communications
MINNEAPOLIS and ST. PAUL, Minn., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota today announced the hiring of Bjorn Gunnerud to serve as Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Communications effective April 12, 2010. Gunnerud joins Children's with more than 15 years of marketing experience with a diverse mix of premier national and global brands.

In his role as senior director, Gunnerud will be responsible for developing and guiding the overall marketing and brand communications strategy for Children's in the local, regional and national marketplace. Gunnerud will work closely with the Division of Health Policy, the Foundation and other key staff members while driving the awareness, visibility and credibility of Children's as one of the leading pediatric health systems in the country.

There he designed positioning platforms to introduce the benefits of this model to consumers, employers, payers and health partners by focusing on quality, convenience and cost savings. In years prior, Gunnerud held leadership positions at several top advertising agencies, managing brands that included BMW, A.G. Edwards, Georgia-Pacific, and Citibank. Gunnerud received a bachelor of arts from Saint Olaf College.
