Children's Hospital Boston Receives $25,000 Donation from GE Executive

BOSTON, May 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Children's Hospital Boston received a $25,000 donation from Brian Palmer, president and CEO, Measurement & Control for GE Oil & Gas. Palmer provided the charitable gift to Children's after receiving GE's highly coveted Chairman's Award. GE Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Immelt recognized Palmer for his outstanding leadership with the award and a $25,000 donation to a charity of his choice.

Palmer chose Children's Hospital Boston as a result of lifesaving treatment received by his son who suffered from Kawasaki disease in 2008. The donation will further Children's Hospital Boston's mission to provide life-saving medical care to children of all ages from around the world.

"The treatment and support that my son and my family received from Dr. David Fulton and his team at Children's Hospital Boston was world-class," said Palmer. "If you have had a child in need of care, you know how fantastic the people at this hospital are, and I am proud to be able to support such a tremendous organization."
