"We are pleased to be included on the Forbes list of top charities, and are thankful for our dedicated supporters, whose donations enable us to help approximately 340,000 impoverished children and youth in our program," said Brian Anderson, Children International's Chief Marketing and Development Officer.
Children International is also included on the "America's Top Charities" November 2012 list published by Consumers Digest, which initially focused on more than 2,400 top charities, and "whittled the list to charities that were recognized most frequently by [independent] analysts." Children International was included as one of only 32 organizations in the Humanitarian category of the final list.
"As families look for ways to reach out to help people in less fortunate situations this holiday season, tools like the Forbes and Consumers Digest lists can be helpful resources," says Children International's President and CEO Jim Cook.
Children International is dedicated to helping impoverished children and youth avoid the traps of poverty.
