Chief Content Officer(CCO), now in its third year of publication, offers digital and print editions, and has now released an app for wider availability. The goal of the app is to give current subscribers another platform to read the magazine, and new readers a trial version of the magazine without committing to a subscription. After two issues, users will be asked to subscribe to the app through a free, but required, registration.
"Our audience digests information in a variety of ways, and we want to make sure that the great content of CCO magazine is available in a full suite of media channels," said Peter Loibl, Vice President and Publisher of Chief Content Officer magazine. "Whether our readers prefer a 'lean back' or 'lean forward' experience, we want to make our content available based on their preferences."
The app will include magazine articles, archived issues of CCO, access to advertiser information, and aggregated lists, templates and tools all mentioned in the magazine. Currently, Chief Content Officer magazine is delivered to over 22,000 marketing executives in North America and around the globe.
The Content Marketing Institute partnered with Genwi to deliver the CCO App. Utilizing the Genwi App Publishing System, which is powered by a mobile content management system, content is easily curated, managed, and distributed. This makes the digital publication of CCO easier for CMI to manage and easier for readers to access as an App.
"We are thrilled to partner with CMI for the launch of its first CCO App," said PJ Gurumohan, CEO and Co-founder of Genwi. "We are at the tipping point of mobile access, seeing the number of users accessing content from mobile devices eclipse traditional access points. CMI realized the importance of optimizing the user experience of its mobile audience, and with the Genwi-powered CCO App, CCO readers will now enjoy a new level of interactivity and engagement on their mobile devices."
The CCO App can be downloaded now, free of charge, from iTunes and will soon be released for Android devices on Google Play. After downloading two issues (four months), the app will continue to be offered for free but registration will be required.
The new app will be featured at CMI's annual Content Marketing World event September 9-12, 2013 in Cleveland, OH. The first 150 CMW event attendees that download the App, and show its icon at the Genwi booth, will be entered for a chance to win an iPad® mini.
