Chickie's & Pete's To Host 3rd Annual Boardwalk Run August 20th

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- It's not unusual to see crowds of people running to Chickie's & Pete's at the Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City to sample some of the iconic restaurant's signature menu items, including world famous Crabfries®, but soon they will be running with a different purpose in mind. Chickie's & Petes will again host their annual Boardwalk 5k run.

The race will be held this Saturday August 20^th with an 8am (sharp!) start. This is the third year for the event. The race starts and ends at the Chickie's & Pete's location at the Tropicana.

Chickie's & Pete's 3rd Annual Boardwalk Run in Atlantic City is set for this Saturday August 20th.

"Our past two 5k Boardwalk Runs were so popular we just had to bring it back and now it's an annual fundraiser we're all looking forward to," said Pete Ciarrocchi, Chairman and CEO of Chickie's & Pete's. "Once again we are happy to have The Archway Schools be the beneficiary of the race."

Chickie's & Pete's will provide all runners with a free order of Crabfries®, an official Chickie's & Pete's 5k Boardwalk Run race shirt, an official souvenir mug, water, refreshments and snacks following the race. There will also be live music and those over 21 can take part in exclusive beach games in the Chickie's & Pete's Beach Beer Garden where they will be treated to one free Yuengling Light Lager.

Runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels are invited to participate in the race. The top 3 overall males and females as well as the top 3 male and female group winners will receive special prizes.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will again be donated to The Archway Schools. Founded in 1955, The Archway Schools have been meeting the special needs of countless families. The Schools provide some 18 model programs to assist those with physical, emotional or neurological challenges.
