Chickie's & Pete's Kicks Off Summer With Free Toll Friday

PHILADELPHIA, May 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --  When you pack up the car to head for the shore this Memorial Day weekend, don't forget the beach umbrella, grandma or the dog - but don't bother to bring money for tolls.  For the third year in a row, tolls are being picked-up by Philadelphia area crab house and sports bar, Chickie's & Pete's.

In what is quickly becoming a summer tradition, Chickie's & Pete's will celebrate summer with "Free Toll Friday." Free Toll Friday has Chickie's & Pete's picking up the tolls on the Atlantic City Expressway's Egg Harbor Toll Plaza, at the peak traveling time of 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday, May 27^th.  The last two years thousands of families on the way to the shore have had a free ride and a lot of fun thanks to Chickie's & Pete's.

"This is our way of saying, 'Thank-You' to the many people who have made Chickie's & Pete's the top Crab House and Sports Bar in the nation," said Pete Ciarrocchi, Founder and CEO of Chickie's & Pete's.  "Our signature Crabfries®, our Summer of Shellfish promotion and another Free Toll Friday are a great way to kick off Memorial Day Weekend."   Chickie's & Pete's is also introducing their "Summer of Shellfish" menu Memorial Day weekend that will feature a different delicious shellfish offering each day this summer at 10 of their locations across the Delaware Valley and the Jersey Shore.

According to Pete Ciarrocchi, the fun doesn't stop with the free tolls. "Stop by the Farley Plaza on the Atlantic City Expressway to see the Chickie's & Pete's Crabfries Express and the Coca-Cola Monster Truck.  There will also be surprise guests, radio personalities, the Crabfries Express food truck giving away free Crabfries, free Herr's Chickie's & Pete's Crabfries potato chips and additional refreshments provided by Chickie's & Pete's event partners Starbucks, Tropicana Casino Resort and Fresh Attraction. New Jersey State Police and the South Jersey Transportation Authority will be on hand with safety tips for a fun summer at the shore."  Events start at 1pm and the free tolls run from 5:00pm to 6pm at the Egg Harbor Toll Plaza on Friday, May 27.
