Chicago United Elects ComEd CEO Anne Pramaggiore New Chairwoman
Organization announces new officer positions during Annual Meeting & Leadership Summit
CHICAGO, March 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Business advocacy organization Chicago United announced today the appointment of Anne Pramaggiore, president and chief executive officer of ComEd, as incoming chairwoman.
The announcement was made during the organization's Annual Meeting & Leadership Summit, hosted by KPMG. "Chicago United is one of the most respected business organizations in the city and I am honored to be elected as its chairwoman," said Pramaggiore. "I look forward to helping guide Chicago United's mission to advance parity in economic opportunity over the next year and creating a more inclusive environment for Chicago's businesses and their employees and supplier partners."
Pramaggiore will succeed Mark Furlong, retired president and chief executive officer of BMO Harris Bank, N.A., who will become Chicago United's immediate past chairman. Also joining Pramaggiore on the Executive Committee is Kip Kelley, president of Aon Affinity, who will assume the role of vice chairman from Kevin B. Brookins, senior vice president of strategy and administration at ComEd, who will move to serve as a member of the Board. John W. Daniels, Jr., chairman emeritus of Quarles & Brady, LLP, will become the organization's new secretary.
Also new to Chicago United's board are Maurice Grant, principal at Grant Law, LLC, Jim Kolar, Greater Chicago Market managing partner, PwC, and Maurice Smith, president of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.
