Chicago United Announces New Board Leadership
Health Care Service Corporation President and CEO Patricia Hemingway Hall is the new Board chairwoman
CHICAGO, March 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicago United, an advocacy organization made up of racially diverse CEOs and executive level management who promote diversity and inclusion in corporate governance, the leadership pipeline and business partnerships, today announced new officers and members of its Board of Directors.
Chicago United members elected Patricia Hemingway Hall, president and chief executive officer, Health Care Service Corporation as the new Board chairwoman. HCSC is the nation's fourth largest health insurer, operating Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Outgoing Board Chairman Joseph Gregoire, regional president, Illinois banking for PNC Bank, becomes immediate past chairman. Also, Stan Deans, president, central region of UPS has joined as a new Board member.

In 2012, Chicago United is presenting national thought leaders in diversity and inclusion during special members' only sessions. It will also welcome new executives to its Corporate Governance Executive Development Program, which it offers in partnership with the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business Executive Education team, to prepare executives of color for corporate board directorships.
