Chicago PR Veteran Rich Jernstedt To Counsel With Porter Novelli
NEW YORK, July 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Global public relations leader Porter Novelli is pleased to announce the appointment of Rich Jernstedt as a senior counselor in the agency's Chicago office.
In this position, Jernstedt will work closely with the agency's local team to provide counsel to existing clients and drive new business opportunities, working in close cooperation with the global Porter Novelli network.

Jernstedt is recognized for his significant record of communications achievements and leadership. A year ago, he launched his own consulting practice, The Jernstedt Company. Prior to that he was an EVP and senior partner at Fleishman-Hillard and has consulted with the firm during the last year. Before that he spent 26 years with GolinHarris, playing an integral role in the firm's growth from a local Chicago agency to an international leader through client development, new business and acquisition. A native Oregonian, Jernstedt is a graduate of the Journalism School at the University of Oregon. He served on the University's Board of Trustees for eight years.
