Chicago Cultural Mile to host Endless Summer Stroll Karaoke Contest
Goal to generate fun and warmth to sustain Chicago through winter's polar vortex
CHICAGO, Sept. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago Cultural Mile Association plans to extend summer through this Thursday by hosting its Endless Summer Karaoke on the Chicago Cultural Mile. The Endless Summer Karaoke event will be held Thursday from 6:30pm until 9:00pm at the Park Grill Plaza in Millennium Park. The Chicago Cultural Mile is Michigan Avenue from the Chicago River south to Roosevelt Road and eastward to the Museum Campus.
"It is the intention of the Chicago Cultural Mile Association to extend summer through this Thursday in style with Endless Summer Karaoke," according to J.R. Davis, Chairman and President of the Chicago Cultural Mile Association. "It is our hope that this event will generate enough fun and warmth to help sustain Chicago through next winter's polar vortex," he joked.
"Endless Summer Karaoke is open to participants of all ages with solo as well as group acts welcome," said Sharene Shariatzadeh, Executive Director of the Chicago Cultural Mile Association. "Additionally, everyone is a winner at the Endless Summer Karaoke Contest because both the Chicago Cultural Mile Association and the Park Grill will be providing a special gift to every performer," she said.
