CHI Franciscan Health and CityMD open first urgent care center in Seattle

"Today is a momentous day for CHI Franciscan, CityMD and, most importantly, the residents of Seattle, as we mark the official opening of our first urgent care center in the Ravenna neighborhood," said Ketul J. Patel, CHI Franciscan Health CEO. "Seattle residents now have access to our first-class care and patient-centered services, building on our promise to build healthier communities throughout the Pacific Northwest."

The Ravenna center, located at 6322 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115, will provide local residents with access to high-quality health care services when their primary care doctor is closed and they want to avoid the emergency room. The location, which is staffed by two emergency medicine-trained doctors and other staff members including an x-ray technician, will be open seven days a week; Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

In addition to the exceptional care provided to patients during their visit, CityMD offers its groundbreaking Aftercare service to patients. Aftercare is a proprietary service unique to CityMD.

It is staffed by physicians, clinicians and referral coordinators who manage notices to primary care doctors and contact patients following a visit to see how they responded to treatment and, if necessary, to handle referrals to specialists. The ultimate aim of Aftercare is to ensure that patients are receiving care continuity and fully addressing ongoing health needs.
