Chevron Energy Solutions and Stanislaus-Tuolumne IBEW Hold Contractor Sourcing Event
MODESTO, Calif., April 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Chevron Energy Solutions (CES) and the Stanislaus-Tuolumne International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union (IBEW) will host a regional contractor sourcing day on April 10th to build a network of local companies and workers for projects intended to build a healthier and more energy-efficient California.
Following recent work together on energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in communities like Patterson, Waterford and Hanford, CES and the IBEW are helping prepare more local contractors for a growing number of opportunities to develop a more sustainable Central Valley. Connecting local IBEW members to energy projects in the Central Valley can create opportunities to keep tax revenues local, promote growth in local businesses tied to the construction trades and encourage local businesses to purchase from each other.
During the regional contractor sourcing day, Mayor Luis Molina of Patterson will discuss his experience with CES and the value of a comprehensive energy project to his community. CES experts will guide attendees through the company's vendor-vetting processes.
The event will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 4pm, UA Local 442, 4842 Nutcracker Lane, Modesto, CA 95356.
