Chesapeake Urology Associates Welcomes Urologic Oncologist, Anup A. Vora, M.D.

OWINGS MILLS, Md., Nov. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Chesapeake Urology recently welcomed urologic oncologist Anup A. Vora, M.D., to the practice. Dr. Vora sees patients in Chesapeake Urology's new Silver Spring office located at 3801 International Drive in Silver Spring, MD.

Dr. Vora's expertise includes the treatment of bladder cancer (non-invasive and advanced), kidney cancer (small and advanced tumors), and prostate cancer (including primary and salvage surgery for complex cases). Dr. Vora also specializes in the treatment of testicular and penile cancers. In addition to urologic oncology, he also practices general urology and specializes in open, robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati and also speaks Spanish.  

He completed a fellowship in June 2014 at the preeminent Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. Dr. Vora received his medical doctor degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Magna Cum Laude, and completed his general surgery internship at Georgetown University Hospital, Department of Surgery, and his urology residency at Georgetown University Hospital Washington Hospital Center. He received his undergraduate degree in computer science, Summa Cum Laude, from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama. He was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 2007, and has published articles extensively on urologic cancer topics, including prostate, bladder and kidney cancer, in multiple medical journals.
