Chesapeake Urology Associates Welcomes Keith J. O'Reilly, M.D., F.A.C.S.
OWINGS MILLS, Md., Jan. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Chesapeake Urology Associates, P.A., one of the nations' largest urology groups, is pleased to announce that Dr. Keith J. O'Reilly has joined the practice. Dr. O'Reilly will continue to serve patients from his existing office located at 193 Stoner Avenue in Westminster, MD.
Dr. O'Reilly has been practicing urology in Maryland since 2006 and treats all aspects of adult urology. His special interests are focused on minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery, the management and treatment of stone disease, and urinary incontinence in men and women. Dr. O'Reilly is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. O'Reilly began practicing urology in 2001. He dedicated 15 years of service to the U.S. Army from 1991 until August 2006, when he joined Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, Maryland as an attending urologist. He joined Chesapeake Urology on January 1, 2013.
After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, Dr. O'Reilly continued his studies and was granted his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College. He completed his internship, as well as general surgery and urology residencies at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. He completed his fellowship training in renal transplantation and general urology at Virginia Mason Medical Center.
During his tenure in the U.S. Army, Dr. O'Reilly was a lieutenant colonel and was chief of the urology service and director of the urology residency program at Madigan Army Medical Center. In addition, Dr. O'Reilly served as medical director of the Madigan Urology Clinical Research Center and as an assistant professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. O'Reilly was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, which is presented to individuals for heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service, and the prestigious Expert Field Medical Badge, earned by only 15 percent of Army medical personnel.
