Chesapeake Urology Associates Recognized as a Top U.S. Healthcare Employer
BALTIMORE, May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Chesapeake Urology Associates,(CUA) and its Maryland Summit Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC) were named last week to the 2011 Becker's Hospital Review/Becker's ASC Review list of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
Becker's named 100 workplaces to the list, representing a wide spectrum of facilities, from leading health systems to small community hospitals to ambulatory surgery centers and physician practices.
According to Becker's, "Each organization puts tremendous thought into the building blocks that make up a great workplace: robust benefits, opportunities for self-improvement, employee appreciation and strong ties between staff members, to name a few. These organizations set and meet high standards for employee satisfaction and demonstrate to the industry that quality care begins with an engaged workforce."
CUA is among several prestigious healthcare organizations to receive this honor, including Baylor Health Care System, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins Hospital, LifeBridge Health, Mayo Clinic, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, University of Chicago Medical Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital.
The list was created through a three-month nomination process, extensive research and feedback from healthcare industry leaders on the final selection of candidates. Becker's editors focused the list on hospitals, health systems, surgery centers and large physician practices.
"We are pleased to be considered among the elite healthcare providers in this country," says Sanford Siegel, M.D., president of Chesapeake Urology Associates. "To be held in a high regard by leaders in our industry is testament to our mission to ensure that every patient has a superior experience, and that we are committed to our employees and to ensuring they are comfortable and satisfied with not only their work environment but the corporate culture at CUA."
