Cheryll Ocampo Forsatz Selected As Recipient Of The National Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Awards

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Nov. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- OCA - Asian Pacific American Advocates, a national membership driven organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans (APAs), has named Cheryll Ocampo Forsatz, Director of Communications for McDonald's New York Metro region, among the recipients of their 2013 annual National Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Awards.

The annual National Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Awards are dedicated to celebrating and recognizing APAs in the corporate sector who exemplify not only excellence in their profession, but also leadership and commitment in their respective communities and to the existing corporate culture of diversity. Forsatz was one of 10 APA leaders selected to receive the award.

As communications advisor for McDonald's top media market, which consists of over 600 McDonald's restaurants, Forsatz provides counsel on communications strategies for the region's leadership team, staff and franchisees. In addition to serving as chief of staff and thought partner for McDonald's New York Metro General Manager and leadership management team, Forsatz's responsibilities include strengthening McDonald's relationships with key internal and external audiences and directing public relations, public affairs, government relations and crisis management activities.

The National Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Awards is the first national program of its kind to recognize corporate achievement and service by honoring the dedication and leadership of APA corporate employees. Since its establishment in 1991 by the OCA Business Advisory Council (BAC), 207 community-conscious corporate leaders have been inducted to this prestigious group. Honorees are first nominated by their respective employers and then selected by a panel of judges.

The OCA Awards Reception and Dinner will be hosted on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 6 PM in the South San Francisco Conference Center in South San Francisco, CA.
