LONDON, August 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Since it's re-launch in March 2011 the Chelsea Girl brand has continued to grow and expand, with the capsule collection now available in 130 stores within the UK. Originally a favourite in the 60's, 70's and 80's, the modern Chelsea Girl collection draws its inspiration from the innovation and credibility from past eras. The range offers an affordable, quirky and retro take on vintage inspired fashion.
For AW12 Chelsea Girl has discovered its dark side with this season's gothic, baroque and heritage inspired trends. The colour palette encompasses all things rich and decadent with the use of sumptuous blacks and burgundy's, opulent gold's, creams and flashes of kooky colour making sure the range remains true to its eclectic roots.
Pretty dresses, including maxi dresses, are given a grunge make over with luxurious black velvets teamed with biker boots whilst grey paisley shorts are worn with chunky knits and lashings of jewellery for a moody gothic look.
Prints come in the form on checks, Fair Isle, and floral with no item being off limits from bags to dresses and blouses to umbrellas. Tapestry bombers, the softest faux furs and fluffy knits give texture to the collection.
