SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Chegg (NYSE: CHGG), The Student Hub, today made public a microsite (www.chegg.com/ITT) dedicated to helping ITT students navigate the aftermath of the sudden and permanent closure of the school's 130+ campuses. The news impacts about 40,000 students nationwide who were effectively left this week with no place to complete their studies.
Through its network of hundreds of schools, Chegg has compiled a state-by-state list of more than 200 not-for-profit schools that are willing to accept ITT transfer credits. As of the date of this release, Chegg's list is the most comprehensive of its kind.
In addition, the site offers practical advice on whether students should pursue a transfer of credits or apply to have their Federal student loans discharged (students can do one or the other but not both). The site also includes an FAQ and links to additional resources available to impacted students.
Chegg's admissions experts are available as media spokespeople to discuss further steps that ITT students may want to consider.
