Cheetah Mobile revamps mobile security offerings with the introduction of CM Security for iOS

SAN FRANCISCO, June 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cheetah Mobile Inc. (NYSE: CMCM), the leading developer of mission-critical mobile utility and security applications, today announced the launch of CM Security for iOS, a new application specifically designed to help users protect photo security.

CM Security for Android is a well-acclaimed mobile security app that achieved over 100 million downloads on the Google Play Store within the first year of its launch. The app has a 4.7 rating (out of 5) and over 14 million 5-star reviews. It's also repeatedly ranked first in tests carried out by AV-TEST and AV-Comparatives. Now that the product is expanding to iOS, it will focus on photo and privacy protection, with PhotoVault and Face Detection being the two primary features of the initial product offering.   

With the PhotoVault feature, users can easily identify photos they wish to encrypt. When these photos are moved to the PhotoVault, users will be asked if they want to delete the encrypted photos from their photo album, which will prevent other people from accessing them. The app supports Touch ID, enabling quick and secure user access. The Face Detection feature is also available to help users effortlessly manage photos that they want to move to the PhotoVault. The system automatically detects multiple pictures that display the identity of the person(s) you wish to encrypt. In the future, Auto ID Recognition will also be available, helping users protect screenshots or photos of their personal, sensitive information.

CM Security iOS is now available for free at the App Store and supports the following languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Serbian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Ukrainian.
