Chat Between Deluxe & Stereo D's William Sherak, Acclaimed Mythology Filmmakers Tops Deluxe's Busy Nab Plans
Media and Entertainment Services Giant Also to Spotlight Workflow Solutions and Products for Creative Post-Production, Distribution and Asset Management
LAS VEGAS, April 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- LVCCB SU3714 -- Deluxe, a global innovator offering comprehensive post-production, distribution and asset-management solutions for media and entertainment, will demonstrate its latest products and services at the 2014 NAB Show.
Deluxe will kick things off in high-profile fashion in a show-floor Super Session, set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 7 and to be hosted by William Sherak, co-president of content creation at Deluxe and president of 3D visual effects studio Stereo D, a Deluxe Company.
"Mythology Entertainment: Innovative Storytelling in Mythic Proportion" will feature acclaimed film producers Bradley J. Fischer and James Vanderbilt speaking with Sherak about the innovative and entrepreneurial ways that their company, Mythology Entertainment, creates content for all traditional and emerging release platforms in Features, TV and Online.
Sherak will moderate the discussion, drawing from his own successes in visual effects work on some of Hollywood's most successful film properties and from Deluxe's near 100 year experience as an industry-leader in end-to-end content services. The trio will discuss new demands placed on today's independent film producers and the emerging technologies that help to improve the quality of motion pictures and the distribution of content.
"We're grateful to Brad and James for helping us frame this discussion of cutting-edge industry solutions in a 'real world' context," said Cyril Drabinsky, president and CEO of Deluxe.
Elsewhere at NAB, Deluxe will spotlight its latest innovations in creative post-production, distribution and asset management at a large booth in the South Upper Hall of LVCC (SU3714). Deluxe will demonstrate its innovative content management solution, Deluxe MediaRecall, which allows customers seamlessly to bring their content on-line—digitized, organized, dynamically searchable and ready for monetization.
Deluxe OnDemand also will figure among the many products and services spotlighted. Deluxe OnDemand—a multi-screen ready, on-demand video catalog solution—is a cloud-based offering that simplifies operations and provides access to the largest catalog of high-quality, pre-formated files at more than 50,000 titles and growing.
Deluxe also will provide an updated demonstration of Deluxe LeapCloud, the revolutionary cloud-based broadcast system introduced at the NAB Show last year. LeapCloud products include PortaLive, a suite of tools that allows broadcasters to monitor, control and record live feeds; Portal, an award-winning, broadcast-grade media asset management system; and Playout, a state-of-the-art platform for broadcast playout and delivery.
Content creators in all media segments will want to take note of the latest creative post production tools developed by Deluxe's Creative Services brands: Company 3 and EFILM. Those include Metatrack Portal—a simple and easy-to-use web content management portal that hides the complexity of mapping VFX pulls to the correct content—and ColorStream, a color correction and annotation collaboration tool for creatives in features and commercials. The free ColorStream Mobile app brings mobility to the post-production color process
"We offer solutions, running from image capture to content consumption, which collectively form a uniquely comprehensive ecosystem for those working in the creation of media and entertainment of all kinds," said Peter Feigin, chief marketing and revenue officer at Deluxe. "The NAB Show is the perfect forum to demonstrate Deluxe's innovation, intelligence and global scalability, all focused on providing full-service solutions for our clients."
Also at NAB, Chief Technology Officer Steven Weinstein will offer insights to the company's comprehensive approach to post-production, distribution and asset management in a high-profile NAB Show Studio Xperience presentation set for 1 p.m. Wednesday in LVCC SU621.
Weinstein also will discuss Deluxe's vast contributions and newest technology innovations in Digital Cinema in a "round-table" panel titled "The Future of Cinema" at the Technology Summit for Cinema at NAB set for 2 p.m. Saturday in LVCC S222.
