Charlotte School of Law Center for Compliance and Ethics Announces First Sponsored Event
Industry Expert Led Panel Discussions Centered Around Yates Memo and Other Topics
CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Charlotte School of Law's Center for Compliance and Ethics (CCE) is proud to announce their first educational event, a two-part panel discussion. The panel discussions are entitled "Recent Trends and Challenges Facing the Compliance Profession," and will analyze the recent "Yates Memo" and other topics. The Yates Memo is a highly important topic for the Compliance industry as it is an example of the Department of Justice's effort to hold corporate executives individually accountable for corporate legal offences. The panels will be led by Compliance industry subject-matter experts, including the Center's Advisory Board. The free event is being held on the Charlotte School of Law campus on June 14, 2016 and is open to the public with lunch provided.

Charlotte Law's Center for Compliance seeks to further the Compliance field by offering topical events such as this to strengthen practitioners as well as deepen scholarship.

The Center recently established its Corporate Compliance Certificate program, an online program accredited by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB)®. The program is designed for both lawyers and others who do not have prior training or a professional background in compliance. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be able to sit for any of the certification examinations offered by the CCB. The program was designed and is taught by compliance experts in Charlotte's business and compliance community, including Charlotte School of Law faculty.
