Charles Shaw Joins SRI International as Executive Director of Defense and Intelligence Programs
MENLO PARK, Calif., Feb. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SRI International, an independent nonprofit research and development organization, announced today that Charles Shaw has joined SRI as the Executive Director of Defense and Intelligence Programs.

Prior to joining SRI, Shaw served as the Vice President of Strategic and Business Development at Metron, Inc., where he was responsible for restructuring, strategic growth and executing capture plans and major proposals for existing customers.
Earlier, he served as Director of Innovation and Future Capabilities at Lockheed Martin in the Maritime Systems & Sensors Operating Company. In addition, Shaw has an extensive background in the U.S. Army. He served more than 20 years in uniform and was on the faculty of the US Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) where he was the Senior Army Fellow at the Institute for Joint Warfare Analysis (IJWA). While at IJWA, he supervised significant R&D efforts for the Joint Staff and multiple Combatant Commanders.
Shaw received his M.S. in Operations Analysis from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School (US NPS), and his B.S. in Mechanical/ Systems Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy (USMA). He is also a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) from the Society of Logistics Engineers and member of the National Defense Industrial Association, Military Operations Research Society, and International Test & Evaluation Association.
