Charles Pope Elected to LSI Board of Directors

MILPITAS, Calif., Feb. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LSI Corporation (NYSE: LSI) today announced that Charles C. Pope has been elected to its Board of Directors, effective February 7, 2011. Mr. Pope is the former Executive Vice President and CFO of Seagate Technology.

During his 25-year career with Seagate, Mr. Pope held increasingly responsible positions in a variety of financial and general management roles and served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1999 to 2008. As CFO, he was responsible for leading the privatization and initial public offering of the company in 2000 and 2002 respectively, as well as its acquisition of Maxtor in 2006.

LSI also announced that director Matthew O'Rourke has notified the board that he will not stand for re-election at the 2011 annual meeting of stockholders. Mr. O'Rourke has served on the board since 1999.
