Charles E. Allen Re-Elected to AAA Michigan Board
DEARBORN, Mich., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Charles E. Allen was re-elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of the 1.6-million-member Automobile Club of Michigan (AAA Michigan) during the annual membership meeting today (March 9) at the Dearborn Inn in Dearborn.
AAA Michigan offers travel, insurance and financial services. It is part of The Auto Club Group (ACG), the largest affiliation of AAA clubs in the Midwest, with approximately 4.1 million members in eight states.
Allen is chairman, president, chief executive officer and co-founder of Graimark Realty Advisors. He has been a director of AAA Michigan since 1987 and is a past chairman of the club. He also serves on the board of ACG and is a past chairman of AAA's national board.
He currently serves on the mutual fund board of Nationwide Funds and the board of Hartford Head Start Agency. He is past chairman of National Bankers Association, the nation's trade association for African-American and women-owned commercial banks. He has served on many boards, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the Detroit Branch of the 7th Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Allen graduated from Morehouse College with a bachelor's degree in business administration and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago. In 1996, he received an honorary doctor of law degree from Benedict College.
