CHICAGO, Dec. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Charles Anderson has joined the Chicago office of Protiviti (www.protiviti.com), a global consulting firm, as a managing director. In his new role, Anderson serves clients in Protiviti's model risk and capital management practice, within the Risk and Compliance solution.

Anderson has more than 25 years of financial risk experience across retail and commercial banking, foreign exchange, commodities and other products. During his career, he has led banking and investment banking risk and derivatives organizations. On the consulting side, he has leadership experience in credit risk, market risk, liquidity, finance and management information systems initiatives.
Previously, Anderson was with IBM Global Business Services for seven years as U.S. head of Financial Risk Consulting and as a senior member of the Global Financial Risk practice in IBM's Banking and Financial Markets Global Center of Competency. There, he led initiatives to establish model risk and regulatory management policies, metrics and processes for leading financial clients worldwide. Prior to IBM, he held leadership positions with ABN AMRO North America, Credit Suisse/First Boston and Lehman Brothers.
Anderson has a Ph.D. in financial econometrics and an M.S. in economics from Boston College. He is a member of GARP (Global Association of Risk Professionals) and PRMIA (Professional Risk Managers' International Organization).
