SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Better Business Bureau and Operation Homefront, two national nonprofits, are entering into a collaborative partnership to better serve military service members and their families. The new partnership was announced during Military Saves Week to emphasize the importance of financial readiness to military readiness.
The two organizations offer complementary services, with BBB focusing on financial education through its BBB Military Line® program and Operation Homefront providing emergency financial assistance grants. BBB will refer military families to Operation Homefront for emergency financial and other assistance needs. In turn, Operation Homefront will refer military families to BBB for assistance in resolving issues with their creditors. Additionally, Operation Homefront will help highlight financial education tips and educational materials provided by BBB Military Line.
"When organizations work together, each playing to their strengths, we have the ability to affect positive outcomes for our military families" said Jim Knotts, Operation Homefront president and CEO. "Operation Homefront has always taken an active approach to collaboration. We look forward to working with BBB to help our military service members and wounded warriors become more financially self-sustaining."
"BBB is honored to work with Operation Homefront to help meet the immediate needs of military families in crisis," said Brenda Linnington, director of BBB Military Line, "as well as helping to reduce these emergency situations through better financial education. This is a valuable partnership that will greatly serve the men and women who selflessly serve our country."
Operation Homefront is an Accredited Charity with BBB Wise Giving Alliance.
