Charges Dismissed Against Eric Pulier, Santa Monica Entrepreneur, ServiceMesh Founder
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- At the request of the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. District Court Judge André Birotte Jr. dismissed with prejudice late yesterday all charges against Eric Pulier. Mr. Pulier is the founder of Santa Monica-based ServiceMesh, Inc. The United States Attorney's Office filed a motion to dismiss the indictment with prejudice "in the interests of justice."
"Eric has maintained his innocence from the start," said Mark Holscher, a partner at Kirkland & Ellis who represents Mr. Pulier. "We are pleased that the government, after an exhaustive investigation, has dropped its case. As the government wrote in its motion to dismiss the indictment with prejudice, this decision is truly 'in the interests of justice.' Our client appreciates the Office's decision and looks forward to continuing his important work as an accomplished inventor and philanthropist."
A Harvard University graduate, Mr. Pulier has founded several companies, including Digital Evolution, US Interactive, Akana and ServiceMesh. Mr. Pulier sits on the boards of the XPRIZE Foundation and a nonprofit summer camp for chronically ill children called Painted Turtle. He is currently working on a non-profit venture that would provide a micro-finance platform for developing nations.
Mr. Pulier was represented by Mark Holscher and Jeff Sinek of Kirkland & Ellis, and Nathan J. Hochman of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.
