NEW YORK, Oct. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Changing Our World, Inc. announces the passing of John G. "Jack" Foerst, Jr., 89 Yrs old, on October 7, 2016. Resident of Manhasset, NY for 51 years. Beloved husband of the late Marion for 58 years. Loving Father of Jerry and Katie. Cherished father-in-law of Lynda. Devoted grandfather of Charlie, Maggie, Kristin, Jacqueline, Jack and Robert. Brother of Catherine and the late Barbara. Mr. Foerst is perhaps the most prominent non-profit fundraiser in American history and spent more than 60 years guiding non-profit organizations around the world in fundraising and development. In 2001, Mr. Foerst joined Changing Our World, Inc. (NYSE: OMC) as Special Advisor to the Chairman. Mr. Foerst began his career as a social worker in New York in 1950 and later that year became New York State regional director for the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis. He was then CEO of CCS for 28 out of his 44 years with the company. Over the years, he has been a board member and director of many charitable, religious, and health organizations including St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center in Roslyn, NY; founding trustee of the Catholic Health System of Long Island; the Center for Applied Research in the Apostulate (CARA) of Washington DC; the Mid-Atlantic Hospital Trust in Bermuda; the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center, Washington DC; the Council of the American Association of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta; The National Center for Disability Services in Albertson, NY; Telicare of the Diocese of Rockville Centre; the 59 Wall Street Fund, New York; the Nassau Center for the Developmentally Disabled, Long Island; the School Art League of New York City; and the National Board of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith. In repose at the Fairchild Funeral Chapel,1570 Northern Blvd., Manhasset on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass Wednesday, 10am at St. Mary's Church, Manhasset.
