Paul joined comparethemarket.com at the beginning of September, replacing Kal Atwal, who has been promoted to Group Director for Brand-led Businesses at BGL Group,comparethemarket.com's parent company.

Prior to joining comparethemarket.com, Paul Galligan was Director for Bennetts, the UK's No. 1 for bike insurance. Paul has driven significant growth for the Bennetts brand and this success means that he is well placed to lead comparethemarket.comas it continues to challenge the dynamics of the aggregator market through its new Simples Rewards programme.

Paul started his career with Capital Bank before moving to HBOS, working in the Partnerships division. He then went on to be Head of Products for Sainsbury's Bank where he was responsible for the sales and profitability of their Lending, Savings and Insurance products. After two years at Sainsbury's Bank, Paul joined BGL Group in August 2008 as Director of Bennetts.
