Chadbourne & Parke Strengthens IP Practice With Addition of Brian Pollack
Veteran IP Attorney Brings Substantial IP Litigation and Patent Interference Experience
NEW YORK, Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The international law firm Chadbourne & Parke LLP today announced that Brian R. Pollack has joined the firm as counsel in the New York office.
Mr. Pollack focuses his practice on patent portfolio strategy and intellectual property litigation. He also has significant experience in patent preparation and portfolio development, IP due diligence, product clearance and freedom to operate analyses. Mr. Pollack was previously a counsel with Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP.
During his career, Mr. Pollack has advised clients regarding IP issues relating to financial services systems, renewable and alternative energy systems (including solar, nuclear and fuel cell systems), pollution control systems, polymer properties and production, mechanical and medical devices and many other technologies. He has also counseled companies on trademarks, copyrights and IP related to video, source code and documents.

Mr. Pollack was previously an IP associate at both Winston & Strawn LLP and Morgan & Finnegan, LLP. A former engineer, he has worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Plasma Science and Fusion Center, the Joint European Torus Nuclear Fusion Facility, the Indian Point Nuclear Facility and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

Mr. Pollack earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Manhattan College in 1994. He received both his M.S. in Nuclear Engineering and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1996.
Mr. Pollack later went on to earn his J.D. at Boston College Law School. Mr. Pollack is admitted to practice law in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota and New York and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the District Courts for New York and the Southern and Eastern Districts of Connecticut.
