C&G Gallery Welcomes Artist Nellie Lou Slagle

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cohen & Grigsby will feature the work of renowned artist Nellie Lou Slagle as part of the "Impact" exhibit presented at the C&G Gallery. The public will have the opportunity to view the exhibit through December following the opening reception on Thursday, Oct. 5.

"My art was influenced both by my sense of place and by a series of events that weighed heavily on me," said Ms. Slagle. "I invite the viewer to experience my artistic point of view and find the joy I have expressed in these paintings."

The artist reception on Thursday, Oct. 5 will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the C&G Gallery, located in the firm's office at EQT Plaza, 625 Liberty Avenue. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Ms. Slagle and view her artwork.

Nellie Lou Slagle's artistic career as a painter, weaver and teacher began after her graduation from Sarah Lawrence College. She has worked with a variety of media through her career, including oil, oil pastel, acrylic, collage, encaustic, fiber, clay and paper. Ms. Slagle lives and works in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh and in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is represented by Michael Hertrich Art and Frame, Pittsburgh.
