Cetera Welcomes Former Commonwealth Advisor Cynthia Doussard and Her Team Overseeing Approximately $235 Million in AUA

Longtime Commonwealth advisor finds a familiar culture within Cetera's Summit Financial Networks

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Cetera welcomes Financial Advisor Cynthia Doussard and her practice, Doussard Financial, overseeing approximately $235 million in AUA¹, to Cetera's unique Summit Financial Networks² community.

Based in Burlington, Washington, Doussard has spent nearly 30 years in the industry, including more than two decades with Commonwealth Financial Network. She is joined by two dedicated support staff, along with a third team member currently working toward her securities license with the goal of becoming the firm's second financial advisor.

Doussard Financial serves clients throughout Northwest Washington, and has grown primarily through referrals, with its strong ties to the region's oil refinery community. Doussard and her team focus on retirement income planning, including pension and 401(k) rollover guidance for clients preparing for or already living in retirement.

Doussard noted that her practice is grounded in business basics, saying: "People just want someone to treat them fairly – they want to be able to trust someone, and we do most of our client work face to face. That's the way I like to do business. They can pop in any time, and if there's something they need, we'll take care of it."

Doussard was affiliated with Commonwealth for 24 years and wasn't looking to move: "If Commonwealth wouldn't have sold to LPL, I never would have left," she said.

When Commonwealth announced that it would be acquired by LPL Financial, Doussard, like many former Commonwealth advisors, began looking for a partner that could offer the same responsive, personal service she had come to expect. Over the course of a year, she received many inquiries from recruiters and broker-dealers, but patiently and intentionally kept searching for the right fit.
