SAN DIEGO, Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cetera Financial Group, the leading network of independent broker-dealer firms, today announced the appointment of Adam Antoniades, president of Cetera Financial Group, as vice chair of the Board of Directors of the Financial Services Institute (FSI), effective immediately. Additionally, FSI indicated that Mr. Antoniades will be elevated from vice chair to chair of the FSI Board of Directors starting next year.

FSI advocates solely on behalf of independent financial advisors and independent financial services firms. Mr. Antoniades, 50, most recently served as FSI's PAC Board Chair.
