AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- National Instruments has named the Tool Qualification Kit for NI TestStand the LabVIEW Tools Network Test Product of the Year. Developed by CertTech, LLC, the Tool Qualification Kit can save significant time and effort in complex development projects. The use of test automation tools can save significant time and effort in complex development projects. In regulated industries, verification tools such as NI TestStand must be formally qualified if any required regulatory processes are eliminated, reduced or automated. Available through the LabVIEW Tools Network, CertTech's Tool Qualification Kit defines the functional requirements NI TestStand must meet, creates a set of tests to demonstrate compliance with the requirements, and provides extensive documentation to show compliance in accordance with functional safety standards.
"Qualification of the test automation tools allows for the tool outputs to be trusted as true and correct, and eliminates the need for costly and time-consuming manual review and analysis of the test tool outputs," said Jeff Gray, CEO of CertTech. "The Tool Qualification Kit for NI TestStand provides tremendous value to companies across a wide variety of safety and mission-critical industries, where rigorous product development processes demand the highest levels of assurance."
Mr. Gray will lead two presentations at the 19th annual NIWeek, the world's leading graphical system design conference and exhibition hosted by National Instruments. NIWeek 2013 will take place Aug. 5-8 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas, and features technical sessions, interactive demonstrations and keynotes on the latest advances in control, design and test. More than 3,200 engineers, educators and scientists from around the world are expected to attend the conference.
